Tensor Group, Woodridge, Ill., announced Aug. 6 that German press manufacturer manroland’s sales and service network is representing Tensor printing equipment in Canada, Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia and southern Africa.
The manroland network will sell Tensor’s U.S.-made T-400BE, T-460, T-400 and T-1400 singlewide presses and H-50, H-50 HD and T-1 folders under the Tensor brand name.
“Tensor and manroland share a very similar business philosophy, with strong focus on quality in manufacturing and outstanding customer service,” Tensor Group CEO Martin Hozjan said in a statement.
The deal, said manroland CEO Gerd Finkbeiner, supplements his company’s sales portfolio “with competitively priced, well-known single-width web presses,” while benefiting Tensor by “expanding market-share with our extensive and knowledgeable sales/service network.”
Tensor has more than 2,500 printing units in approximately 180 presslines installed in 42 countries.
