Manugraph DGM Inc., Elizabethville, Pa., has sold press equipment to Louisiana and Colorado publishers.
Louisiana State Newspapers, Lafayette, bought 14 DGM 430 units and two DGM 1035 folders to provide more process-color capability. To be configured as six floor units and two four-high towers, the press replaces an older Goss Community press to print two dailies, the Crowley Post Signal and the Abbeville Meridional, two twice weeklies and 26 weekly publications. Installation is to be completed at the end of this month.
Colorado Mountain News Media purchased eight DGM 440 units and one DGM 1240 folder with stitcher and quarter folder. Configured as two four-high towers, the units join a five-tower press line in Gypsum, Colorado. The press also will be equipped with Prime UV ultraviolet ink-curing technology.
Colorado Mountain News Media owns five dailies covering many of Colorado’s western counties, including the towns of Vail and Aspen. It also produces numerous weeklies and work for commercial clients. Installation of the addition began February 5, and the acceptance test is scheduled for mid-April.
