Editorial cartoonist Matt Davies of The Journal News in White Plains, N.Y., has begun doing a short segment about cartooning each Friday for his paper’s daily cable TV show, he told E&P today.
In his latest segment, for instance, Davies discussed the reaction he got to his cartoon about the death of Jerry Falwell.
Davies, whose cartoons are syndicated by Tribune Media Services, already does a blog and animation. “And so the media convergence continues,” he said in a Tuesday blog post (http://davies.lohudblogs.com//) discussing his new TV segments.
The Journal News staffer won the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning, and served as president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists from 2004 to 2005.
