McClatchy is expanding its Sunday Select program to four additional markets: Fresno, Calif.; Boise, Idaho; and Macon and Columbus in Georgia.
The Sunday Select program delivers pre-prints wrapped in a broadsheet editorial package to non-newspaper subscribers in desired Zip Codes. The service is opt-in.
McClatchy rolled out Sunday Select in November of last year. By the end of February, five more markets will get the service.
“Frankly, we can’t roll out this program fast enough,” Steve Bernard, McClatchy’s vice president of advertising, said in a statement. “Our retail customers appreciate that we’re delivering some of the best markets in the country and some of the most motivated shoppers living in those markets.”
McClatchy said it anticipates that Sunday Select will be in half of its markets, reaching more than 250,000 households, by the beginning of June.
