Another Newsday executive is leaving the paper. John McKeon, executive vice president and general manager, wants to pursue another opportunity, according to a story in Newsday.
McKeon re-joined Newsday in July 2004 to help steer the company out of its advertising and circulation fracas — the paper had misstated its circulation by roughly 100,000 copies and had to compensate advertisers. McKeon left Newsday in 1998 to serve as senior vice president/advertising at the Los Angeles Times and
senior vice president/advertising at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Newsday has not named McKeon’s replacement.
