The Wall Street Journal Digital Network President Gordon McLeod has announced he is resigning, effective Oct. 1, according to a post by Kara Swisher on the network’s All Things Digital site.

Staffers were informed in a memo from McLeod, who did not say where his next stop might be.

McLeod moved to the network’s parent, Dow Jones & Co., a few years ago from Time Inc., where he ran its digital media businesses.

Dow Jones Ventures President and Dow Jones Senior Vice President for Strategy Ann Sarnoff also departed this week, to become BBC America chief operating officer.
