Media’s Young Conservatives in Training

In Washington, D.C., there’s no shortage of ambitious, hard-working and dedicated interns each summer. But even in a city of overachievers, one member of the National Journalism Center’s 2015 summer class stood out.


The intern, who was placed at the Washington Free Beacon, was on his way to cover a hearing when he was struck by a taxi. He flew through the air, suffered a broken wrist, a mild concussion, and a sprained ankle, and then attended—and reported on—the hearing as scheduled.
