Media Strike Out in Minnesota
By: Joe Strupp
Media outlets in Minnesota have been denied access to 9,000 pages of financial documents related to last year’s legal battle to keep Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins from leaving Minneapolis.
A three-judge panel of the state Court of Appeals last week backed a lower-court ruling that determined the digital files did not have to be made available to the public or the press.
Attorneys for four news organizations said they were considering an appeal to the state Supreme Court.
