Mediaspectrum, Inc., Burlington, Mass., has hired David Lane as managing director in Europe, Middle East and Africa, where is responsible for advancing the company’s efforts to transform media companies’ advertising sales, production and editorial operations.
Lane joined Mediaspectrum from IBM Global Business Services where, as partner and global leader for publishing, he developed IBM’s business and solutions with media clients. At IBM he worked closely with global, national and regional publishers to transform business models, moving them beyond legacy operations to hybrid environments combining traditional distribution with interactive online channels. Lane was involved in several Mediaspectrum deployments while at IBM.
“While in the midst of significant global expansion, David brings a timely infusion of capability to spur our efforts — as well as a vote of confidence in what we are doing,” Mediaspectrum CEO Scott Killoh said in a statement.
Mediaspectrum’s Cloud Computing Platform is a multi-media, multi-channel solution for those looking to quickly and drastically streamline their businesses while increasing sales. The integrated advertising and editorial content management offers publishers technology that can reduce complexity and cost while adding advertising and commerce opportunities, according to Mediaspectrum.
Before IBM, Lane worked with Accenture, the management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, where he founded and built the company’s UK media practice.
