The San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News announced a new editorial and marketing partnership with the local NBC affiliate, KNTV.
The Knight Ridder paper will contribute stories to channel 11’s 11 p.m. newscast, including previews from the next day’s Mercury News. The newspaper’s Spanish-language weekly, Nuevo Mundo, will contribute to KNTV’s sister station, KSTS Telemundo 48.
In a statement, Mercury News President and Publisher Joe Natoli said the partnership would provide “readers and viewers the most comprehensive news reporting in the Bay area.”
KNTV is owned and operated by NBC.
