Nonprofit Promotes Internet Development In South Florida
The Miami Herald and Miami.com have partnered with a non-profit
organization to promote South Florida as the Internet hub of the Americas.
The Miami Herald Publishing Co. will work with the Miami Internet Alliance which
works to grow Internet-related businesses in the region.
The Herald and Miami.com will advertise and market the Alliance’s monthly
panel discussions and quarterly events to readers and advertisers. In return, the
Knight Ridder subsidiary receives title-sponsor status at Alliance events. The
newspaper also will work on getting speakers and sponsors for events.
“The Internet industry has become a vital part of South Florida’s economic
landscape,” said Joe Natoli, president of Miami Herald Publishing Co. “Together,
we will present events that bring together leaders of this dynamic industry and
promote South Florida as the Internet hub of the Americas.”
Miami.com is a part of Knightridder.com’s Real Cities network.
