Miller Named ‘Columbus Dispatch’ M.E.

The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch named Alan D. Miller to the top newsroom job, managing editor for news, effective Jan. 5.

Miller, 44, was previously assistant managing editor/days. He replaces Mary Lynn Plageman, who became a writer and editor for special projects about a year ago, according to the newspaper. The managing editor for news position has been vacant during this time.

Miller previously worked for The Repository of Canton, Ohio; The Daily Record of Wooster, Ohio; and the former Orrville Courier-Crescent.
