‘Mini Page’ Constitution Book at the National Archives

The gift shop at the National Archives (NA) in Washington, D.C., is selling a book by “The Mini Page” creator Betty Debnam of Universal Press Syndicate. Plans are underway to also offer “The Mini Page Guide to the Constitution” via the NA’s Web site.

Debnam’s book was released last October by Andrews McMeel Publishing. More than 300 copies have been sold through the gift shop, and more than 2,000 copies have been ordered online at SmartWarehousing.com.

Working with NA staffers (including Lee Ann Potter, director of education and volunteer programs), Debnam created a nine-part series focusing on the essential elements in the U.S. constitution. The series originally ran in more than 500 newspapers from fall 2005 through May 2006 as part of “The Mini Page” syndicated feature before the content was turned into a book.
