Minneapolis ?Star Tribune? Names VP/Consumer Marketing

Rob Gursha has been named vice president for consumer marketing at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. He joins the newspaper July 19.

Gursha, a veteran Time Inc. marketing executive, most recently was executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Time Warner Retail, the company’s newsstand sales branch, where he oversaw the retail operations of more than 30 titles including People, Time, Sports Illustrated, InStyle and Fortune.

Before that, he served for five years as president and publisher of Time Inc. Home Entertainment and spent 10 years as VP/general manager and consumer marketing director for Sunset Publishing in Menlo Park, Ca.
“Rob brings a wealth of publishing experience to the Star Tribune and will be enormously valuable to us in areas from direct response marketing campaigns and single copy sales to consumer research and niche publishing,” Star Tribune Publisher and CEO Mike Klingensmith said in a statement.
