The Modesto (Calif.) Bee hit the streets with an industry standard 44-inch web width Tuesday. The paper incorporated a redesign of its comics and games package, which now feature two full-color pages daily and a “slightly revamped” comics lineup, Managing Editor Dave Lyghtle wrote in a note to readers.
The classified section also has a new look with a larger index intended to help readers find exactly what they are looking for.
With the narrower page width, Lyghtle told readers, there were “a few less lines of type per column on each page.”
