Monster has snagged several more newspapers, the online recruitment site announced today.
Monster launched co-branded sites with the following 11 dailies: The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch; Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; New Hampshire Union Leader; Rutland Herald/Times Argus in Vermont; Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram; The Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C.; The Blade in Toledo, Ohio; San Francisco Examiner; Baltimore Examiner; and El Nuevo D?a in Puerto Rico.
Monster also said that eight more newspapers are slated to roll out co-branded recruitment sites including some properties with Home News Enterprises, Western News & Info, and The Santa Fe New Mexican.
Additionally, Monster stuck distribution partnerships with several other dailies, including Ottaway Newspapers; Swift Communications; Star Tribune in Minneapolis; Las Vegas Review-Journal; The Register-Guard in Eugene, Ore.; Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free Press; and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock. Under this agreement, the newspapers retain their own employment sites but can sell into the Monster network.
“These alliances provide thousands of consumers with another point of access to Monster’s job search and match technology, and regional employers in these markets will be able to more easily utilize Monster’s leading resume database, national reach, and range of recruitment services,” Lauren Chacon, vice president and general manager of media alliances at Monster, said in a statement.
More than 200 weekly and daily newspapers are part of the Monster partnership.
