The Muller Martini Users Group will convene in Chicago’s McCormick Place in conjunction with Graph Expo, the year’s largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas.
The meeting will begin Oct. 2, the day before Graph Expo opens, and run through Oct. 3.
The users group has been meeting for more than 20 years to allow post-press professionals to share their experiences with machines and technology and confer with Muller Martini executives to learn about the latest equipment upgrades and add-ons.
This year’s meeting will cover such topics as maximizing equipment use and efficiency, prolonging equipment life, and identifying the best newspaper and commercial packaging opportunities, with time between sessions to allow for networking and meeting with vendors on the show floor.
“As Muller Martini converges its newspaper and commercial technology operations, bringing the users group meeting to Graph Expo 2010 helps enhance our organization’s business objectives while satisfying our members’ best interests,” the group’s president, Charlie Brown, said in a statement. “With Graph Expo 2010 featuring such a large emphasis on the newspaper market, it made for a particularly appropriate venue for our users,” added Brown, who is packaging manager at the Press-Register, Mobile, Ala.
