Community Paper Association Partners With Portal Site

The Midwest Free Community Paper Association (MFCPA) has agreed to
offer its more than 130 member papers an opportunity to join’s Media Partnership program., based in Miami, says it is building an online community
portal that contains city guides to more than 50,000 U.S. towns, but
there’s little local information on the site right now. Community
newspapers, such as members of the MFCPA, contain the local grassroots
news that MyCity needs to power its network. plans to offer MFCPA members a co-branded site where the
papers can develop a community-oriented site. also offers
tools to sell online advertising on the co-branded sites.

Community papers lacking an online presence can have create
one for them for free, the company adds.

The MFCPA is made up of free community newspapers in Iowa, Illinois,
Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota,
Indiana, and Wisconsin.
