The Newspaper Association of America said it will not be able to offer computers and Internet access to members of Congress attending the Democratic National Convention next week, as originally planned.
NAA said the DNC staff informed them that there was no space for the computers in the Congressional “cloakrooms” at the Fleet Center in Boston, where the convention is being held. NAA had planned to sponsor the computers to allow members of Congress to access online newspapers and to conduct online chats with their hometown papers.
As of now, NAA still plans to sponsor computers at the Republican convention cloakrooms in New York later this summer.
