The Newspaper Association of America is launching a contest that asks teens to create a YouTube video showing how they use newspapers in print or online.
“Our work has shown us that many teens follow the news, and are quite aware of what’s happening in their communities and world around them,” Sandy Woodcock, director of the NAA Foundation, said in a statement. “We launched this contest to find out how teens use newspapers – for anything from acing a current events test to selecting a weekend movie – so we can learn more about how the future audience interacts with newspaper products.”
The NAA Foundation is accepting entries until Dec. 17. The winner receives an iPhone and trip for two to the NAA’s annual convention in Washington D.C. this coming spring.
