Today the Newspaper Association of America announced that it has taken over the duties of the “Mid-Year Media Review” conference, which was previously handled by Gannett Co. Inc. In addition, the NAA revealed key details of the annual meeting scheduled for June 22-23 in New York.
“We at the NAA welcome this new role in keeping that important constituency supplied with in-depth, insightful information directly from leading companies in the field,” said John Sturm, president and CEO of the NAA. “Gannett did a stellar job organizing the event in past years, and NAA is grateful to the Gannett team for all their guidance.”
The conference gives publicly traded publishing companies a chance to present strategic and financial overviews to over 350 investor, analyst and press attendees. This year’s participants include Belo, Dow Jones, Gannett, Journal Communications, Journal Register Co., Knight Ridder, Lee Enterprises, The McClatchy Co., McGraw-Hill Co., Media General, Meredith Corp., The New York Times Co., Pulitzer Inc., E.W. Scripps Co., Tribune Co., and The Washington Post Co. The full roster will be announced in the coming weeks.
