Starting next Monday, the “Nancy” comic will be available in color every day.
“We decided we want to enhance the art on Comics.com, as well as control the coloring of our artwork in our subscribing newspapers and Web sites,” said “Nancy” co-cartoonist Guy Gilchrist.
Comics.com is the site run by United Media, which syndicates “Nancy.”
In the first color strip, Nancy will start a new activity — karate. “I’m into the martial arts myself, and have seen how empowering it is to girls, boys, men, and women,” said Gilchrist. “Thankfully, it can also be pretty funny!”
And on Comics.com and GilchristCartoonAcademy.com, slideshows are depicting “Nancy” artwork in various stages — from start to finish. The second in the series is posted now.
