Dick Porter resigned as CEO of Publishing Group of America, which produces the newspaper-inserted magazines American Profile, Relish and Spry.
The announcement said only that Porter would “pursue other opportunities.”
He is succeeded by John Cobb, former senior vice president of digital at Source Interlink Media.
Cobb said in a statement that he expects the company to experience “explosive growth” in digital media.
Under Porter, the company saw substantial growth in print, with considerable increases in the magazines’ number of ad pages this year compared with 2009.
