Michigan will get its first new daily in 45 years with the launch Sept.
7 of the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus in Howell, about halfway
between Lansing and Detroit.

The weekday and Sunday daily combines two HomeTown Communications Network semiweeklies, The Livingston County News and The Brighton Argus. It will
launch with about 20,000 paid subscribers, Vice President and General
Manager Rich Perlberg said.

Michigan’s youngest daily has been The Huron Daily Tribune, which went
daily in 1955.
