Newspaper & Publication Flexo Users Group President Robert Greim, assistant production manager at the Boston Herald, announced the following three additions to NPFUG’s board: Herman Spencer, imaging and color management director at the News & Observer, Raleigh, N.C., Don Szwejbka, news inks national accounts director at INX International, Dunkirk, N.Y., and Bill Poulson, Northeast technical graphics advisor at Harper Corp. of America, Pennsauken, N.J.
Spencer has a background in ICC Profiles and all prepress facets of the flexo industry. His experience includes printing, color management, digital imaging, proofing, printing test charts.
Szwejbka has spent 34 years in the printing industry, half of that time in a commercial pressroom. In addition to nine years working on presses, he’s worked in flexo production coordination, quality assurance, and technical support management. Szwejbka joined the ink industry in 1990 as a technical service representative for water-based flexo.
In the flexo industry since 1971 and a certified multi-color press operator since 1997, Poulson has been a Flexo Technical Association judge and works with the high school and college flexo programs.
