The 25th “FoxTrot” collection from Bill Amend — who won the Reuben Award as cartoonist of the year this spring from the National Cartoonists Society — will be released next month by Andrews McMeel Publishing.

Amend’s 168-page book is called “And When She Opened the Closet, All the Clothes Were Polyester.”

The 1988-launched “FoxTrot” was running in more than 1,000 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate when it became a Sunday-only comic this past winter. The new collection includes Amend’s last daily strips.
