ProImage America, Princeton, N.J., added five to its staff to support its recent increase in orders.
To implement new NewsWay newspaper workflow installations and enhance support for existing customers, the company hired Tony Restus, most recently a software support engineer with alfaQuest Technologies and earlier with Autologic and Agfa, as a senior systems support specialist. Also, software engineer Avi Jenkins, transferred from ProImage Israel, and Saleem Ahmed, with eight years experience as a senior installation engineer with System Integrators Inc. and net-linx Publishing Solutions joined ProImage America.
Joining customer support are Keith McMahon, who spent seven years in prepress production at the New York Times, and Tony Wei Xiong, a computer science graduate of the University of Northern Virginia.
Focusing on the sale in North America of NewsWay Blaze for mid-size to smaller newspapers and commercial web operations (especially those planning a move to CTP), Dave Pendergraft joined the company. Pendergraft has 19 years of printing production and management experience and worked for 12 years in technical support, sales and management at Agfa.
