Newspaper Name To Grace Pavilion
An Albuquerque, N.M., amphitheater will soon bear the name of the
Albuquerque Journal through a deal announced last week by
the theater’s owners.
SFX Entertainment of New York said the 12,000-seat Mesa del Sol
outdoor arena, which opened earlier this year, will be renamed
the Journal Pavilion under a nine-year agreement that also gives
the newspaper advance-ticket rights and other benefits. SFX
officials would not disclose financial terms of the arrangement.
Brian Fantl, general manager of the Albuquerque Publishing Co.,
which handles advertising and distribution for the Journal
and its joint-operating-agreement partner, The Albuquerque
Tribune, called the deal “a promotional opportunity.”
