Kim Roegner has been named president and publisher of the Fort Collins Coloradoan. She previously served as display advertising director at The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Ky.
Roegner began her career at Gannett in 1990 as an intern at the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum, Pa. She rose to management positions in advertising departments including the Herald-Dispatch’s in Huntington, W.Va. She served as advertising director at the Marietta (Ohio) Times.
Roegner was named retail advertising manager at the Pensacola (Fla.) News Journal in 2000. She has been recognized twice as one of the top retail advertising managers in the company and one of the top advertising directors two years in a row.
“Kim has shown great leadership in all of her roles,” Bob Dickey, president of Gannett’s U.S. Community Publishing, said in a statement. “We are confident that her success at Louisville will continue as she takes on this new responsibility.”
