A number of cartoonists with newspaper-syndication connections will be at the April 18-20 New York Comic Con in Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Center.

Among the “living-legend guests” are Stan Lee, who writes “The Amazing Spider-Man” comic for King Features Syndicate; and Irwin Hasen, who formerly did the “Dondi” comic for what is now Tribune Media Services.

One of the “featured guests” is Leonard Starr, who worked on “Annie” for TMS and created the “Mary Perkins, On Stage” comic.

Other creators expected to attend include “Evil Inc.” Web cartoonist Brad Guigar and former “Brenda Starr” artist Ramona Fradon of TMS, among many others.

Exhibitors include Andrews McMeel Publishing (the sister division to Univeral Press Syndicate that puts out many comic collections), and various other book publishers and companies.

There will also be more than 300 panels, seminars, autograph sessions, and other events.
