New York Comic Con to Include Newspaper Cartoonists

A number of syndicated cartoonists are scheduled to appear at the Feb. 23-25 New York Comic-Con in Manhattan.

They include Isabella Bannerman (“Six Chix”/King Features Syndicate), Alison Bechdel (“Dykes to Watch Out For”/self-syndication), June Brigman (“Brenda Starr”/Tribune Media Services), Chance Browne (“Hi and Lois”/King), Hy Eisman (“Popeye”/King), Ron Ferdinand (“Dennis the Menace”/King), and Joe Giella (“Mary Worth”/King).

Also: Stan Lee and Larry Lieber (“The Amazing Spider-Man”/King), Patrick McDonnell (“Mutts”/King), Graham Nolan (“The Phantom” and “Rex Morgan, M.D.”/King), Rina Piccolo (“Tina’s Groove” and “Six Chix”/King), Dan Piraro (“Bizarro”/King), Mark Schultz (“Prince Valiant”/King), Brian and Greg Walker (“Hi and Lois”/King), and Mort Walker (“Beetle Bailey”/King).

Others slated to appear include formerly syndicated cartoonists such as Frank Cho (“Liberty Meadows”), Ramona Fradon (“Brenda Starr”), and Irwin Hasen (“Dondi”).

King Features will be among the exhibitors at the event.
