KnightRidder.com Adds New York Market To Network
The New York Daily News Online has decided to join the Real
Cities network that is powered by San Jose, Calif.-based
With the Daily News Online, the Real Cities network finally gets
into the New York City media market. The network of 38 city sites
now covers 12 of the top 26 markets in the United States. Daily
News Online reports that it gets more than 900,000 unique users a
month and over 12 million page views.
By joining Real Cities, Daily News Online will get the network’s
local Web directory, which the New York newspaper will build
upon. Daily News Online also will participate in Real Cities’
national advertising and distribution deals. Other Real Cities
partnerships that benefit Daily News Online include content
distribution through online and wireless partners and providing
headlines to Palm VII devices and Yahoo! local news channels.
Other newspapers and companies that have joined the Real Cities
network include Belo, E.W. Scripps Co., Macromedia Inc., and
