The New York Post and Fan Duel have together launched a new game on NYPOST.com that allows fantasy sports players to win cash daily.
FanDuel is a leading interactive fantasy sports company, providing one-day fantasy sports contests. It enables consumers to draft fantasy sports teams at any time in one-day head-to-head or multi-player contests, allowing users to draft a fantasy team lasting one day — at any point during the football, baseball, basketball, and hockey seasons — and follow that team’s progress online in real time.
Unlike other fantasy leagues, there is no season-long commitment; participants’ winnings are based on one day of game play. Players can use their winnings to finance future drafts or cash out whenever they like.
“New York sports fans are the most outspoken in the world — now they can put their money where their mouth is,” FanDuel CEO Nigel Eccles said in a statement. “Players are able to draft teams and take home their winnings on the same day. Each month we award over $100,000. It might be a fantasy sports game, but there’s nothing imaginary about the cash we pay out.”
Players pay an entry fee for each contest in which they participate and vie for cash prizes awarded to the player whose team generates the most fantasy points in a given competition.
