Paper Makes Room For More Deadline News

The New York Times has plans to split its business section into two parts for the last three months of the year, reports The Associated Press.

As of Oct. 3, a new section titled “World Business” will appear and will continue to print on Tuesday through Friday until Dec. 29, according to a Times spokesperson. The supplement will carry overseas business stories combined with stock tables. Domestic news will remain in the first business section.

The Times decided to split business news into world and domestic so the paper’s printing presses could handle more political coverage, sports, and holiday advertising.
