‘New York Times’ Ups Gillis to VP/Advertising

Kerrie Gillis was named a vice president of advertising for The New York Times Tuesday.

In the new position, which is effective immediately,  Gillis will oversee the print and digital advertising categories of advocacy, corporate, help wanted, sports marketing, International Herald Tribune, telesales and classified advertising.

Previously Gillis served as advertising director, corporate, for the Times and as the advertising director for the Americas for The International Herald Tribune.

Gillis joined The Times in 1985 and served in various marketing roles in circulation and advertising, including director of advertising marketing planning and new business development.
