Newman Leaves ‘NYT’ for ‘L.A. Times’

Michael Newman has been named deputy editorial page editor of the Los Angeles Times.

Newman, 39, most recently was staff editor of The New York Times’ Op-Ed page. Previously, he worked at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette from 1990 to 1999.

He succeeds Judy Dugan, who will now be a senior editorial writer and remain on the board.
