News Corporation fired back late Wednesday night against accusations that the NDS Group, a technology firm that it has a minority stake in, had hacked into satellite TV rivals in Britain and Australia.

Chase Carey, president and chief operating officer, said accusations made in the BBC program “Panorama” were a “gross misrepresentation of NDS’s role as a high-quality and leading provider of technology and services to the pay-TV industry.”
