News Guild Finds Evidence of Wage Gap at The New York Times

In a report released today, the union that represents staff at The New York Times has accused the company of paying women and minority employees less than their white male colleagues.

According to an analysis of October 2015 wage data from employees represented by the News Guild of New York, minority employees made an average of 10 percent less than an average wage at the company, and women made an average of seven percent less than white men at the company.
