Newspaper Delivery Man Robbed, Slashed in Florida

A newspaper delivery man is recovering after a robber cut his neck while he was about to deliver papers in Stuart, Fla.

Martin County authorities say 57-year-old Harvey Foster was at a gas station preparing to begin his shift Saturday morning when he was approached by a man. Sheriff officials say the robber demanded Foster give him his wallet and a ride.

As Foster drove, the two men began to struggle. That’s when Foster was slashed in the neck. He managed to pull over at a gas station and the suspect fled. Foster was taken to Saint Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach in stable condition.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
