A Detroit Newspaper Partnership deliverer was fatally shot this morning while on his route.
Police say the Harper Woods resident, who was in his 50s, was shot twice. His name hasn’t been released, pending notification of family.
Detective Sergeant Charles Clark says police aren’t sure what the motive is.
The Detroit Newspaper Partnership handles business operations for The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press.
The Detroit Free Press reported: “A Detroit Newspaper Partnership delivery employee was killed this morning as he was loading a newspaper box at Warren and Cope on Detroit?s east side.
“Police have not released the man?s name, pending family notification.
“About 5:50 a.m., the 52-year-old man was shot in the thigh and the knee with a shotgun, police spokesman James Tate said today.”
