Authorities in Ohio say a newspaper photographer on her way to an assignment was killed in a car crash.
The State Highway Patrol says a car driven by Misty Spurgeon was struck by a pickup truck on Saturday near Waterville. She was 26.
She was traveling to photograph a high school football game when the driver of the pickup truck tried to pass a tractor-trailer and hit Spurgeon’s car.
Spurgeon had worked for about two years at the Northwest Signal of Napoleon.
The patrol says charges are pending against the driver of the pickup.
