Journalist Pulls 13-Month-Old From Car
Becoming a part of the story, an Evansville (Ind.) Courier & Press reporter saved a baby from a car that crashed into a flooded ditch Monday, The Associated Press reported.
Reporter Kevin Kinnaird was on assignment covering local storms when he saw a small car slip into the ditch. In Tuesday’s Courier & Press, Kinnaird recounted the ordeal in a front-page story.
The journalist said he took the 13-month-old boy from the child’s mother, Mitzi Bolin, as the waters rose around the car. Bolin was helped to safety by another bystander.
