Newspaper’s Recording of Executive Session Under Investigation

The Wayne County district attorney’s office is investigating the alleged recording of an October executive session of Honesdale Borough Council by a journalist from The Wayne Independent.

Wayne County District Attorney Michael Lehutsky confirmed that his office is investigating the Oct. 10 incident in which Josh Wengler, who works for the Honesdale-based newspaper, reportedly left an activated recording device behind during an executive session of borough council.
