Newspaper Sales, August-December 2006


The past year marked extreme activity on the newspaper- acquisition front, ignited by the sale of Knight Ridder to McClatchy. This year should prove to be just as busy, with newcomer GateHouse Media gobbling up papers and the possibility of a Tribune Co. breakup.
