NewsStand Inc., Austin, Texas, has entered into a distribution partnership with NewsBank Inc. that uses NewsStand’s eEdition Delivery Manager to provide NewsBank customers in the library market with online access to digital reproductions of current and archived print newspaper issues.
In addition to satisfying the needs of library staff and patrons, the arrangement enables publishers to increase the audited circulation and awareness of their editions.
Subscribers can access via the Internet an entire publication in traditional print format that can be read online or offline. The exact replicas of print editions (full-color layouts with ads, photos and graphics) are available at the same time as daily print editions, if not earlier. The Web-based iBrowse format enables users to intuitively read articles, navigate between sections, print pages, and search the full text.
NewsStand markets over 240 titles to paying customers in more than 120 countries. For schools, libraries, professionals, and consumers, NewsBank provides Web-based access to more than 2,000 current and archived newspaper titles, newswires, business journals, periodicals, and other publications worldwide, as well as digital collections of American historical documents and online resources covering all academic curricula.
