The National Society of Newspaper Columnists (NSNC) has opened nominations for the annual Will Rogers Humanitarian Award.
Eligible for the prize are columnists “whose sustained work in civic journalism produces tangible benefits for the community.”
Nominations can be submitted by a newspaper editor, a newspaper publisher, or a community leader. Columnists cannot nominate themselves. The deadline is March 15. For more information, click here.
The 2007 award will be presented at the NSNC’s next annual conference, June 21-24 in Philadelphia.
