Today’s “Non Sequitur” comic spoofs a suspicion expressed last month by an Albany, N.Y., Times Union reader who wondered if cartoonists get paid to mention brand names in their strips.

“Oh, how I wish that were true,” deadpanned Wiley Miller, whose “Non Sequitur” feature appears in more than 700 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate.

His Monday comic can be seen here.
