CCI Europe, Aarhus, Denmark, announced it will provide Norway’s Adresseavisen ASA with a CCI NewsGate system for 120 consurrent users, replacing a 10-year-old CCI NewsDesk system.
“We have had a thorough look at different cross-media editorial systems, and found NewsGate to be ahead of the competition with respect to efficiency and convergence between the different media,” Adresseavisen CIO Asle Vestvik said in a statement.
NewsGate will be installed with two-way integration to Adresseavisen’s Escenic Web publishing system, as well as its AP/ENPS system for television and radio. In April, it expanded digital TV broadcasting to 6.5 hours per night. In moving to become a 24-hour news source, Adresseavisen will use NewsGate for content collaboration across its media products.
Adresseavisen group consists of the six-day, 80,000-circulation Adresseavisen for mid-Norway, four local newspapers (and two associated local newspapers), Adressa-Trykk AS, a modern newspaper printing plant, adressa.no, TV-adressa and Radioadressa. Adresseavisen customers also can receive news via mobile phone.
