Companies Will Collaborate On New Channels
GolfServ Online Inc. of Chicago announced Thursday that is has
secured a $1.5 million investment from New York Times Digital. As
part of the deal, Times Digital’s GolfDigest.com will contribute
content to GolfServ, which syndicates golf content and services
to a network of 275 Web sites, including USAToday.com and
GolfServ said it will use the money to build tools and
applications for two new channels: food & wine and health &
fitness. Both will contain content from the New York Times Co.
New York Times Digital was already representing GolfServ’s
advertising inventory; the companies share revenue generated from
