The old ad slogan “I found my job through The New York Times” took on a fresh glow Thursday as the Times introduced a “Job Market” section online (http://www.nytimes.com/jobs).
It also tweaked the print product, launching a Sunday “Job Market” section with enhanced editorial content, including Lisa Belkin’s “Life’s Work” column, which had appeared in the now-discontinued Wednesday “Workplace” section.
“By creating a unified brand platform for our recruitment advertisers, The New York Times Job Market delivers the combined impact of two powerful channels — The New York Times reaches 4.2 million readers on Sunday and 1.1 million online users daily, offering both local depth and national reach,” said Alexis Buryk, group vice president of advertising.
The Times is promoting its new recruitment efforts with an ad campaign in the New York area with the slogan “Put Yourself In a Better Position.” The campaign includes television, print, radio, outdoor, and online spots.
